The greatest benefit of becoming a member of ECREA is that you can establish contacts with a growing number of other members. Our members represent specific fields of media and communication research, and are located in a variety of cities and universities in Europe and beyond.
You can establish these contacts through activities our thematic sections and networks, at conferences and seminars organized under the ECREA umbrella, and through the resources of ECREA Online.
There are four specific benefits for ECREA members:
1. ECREA Intranet. This is a growing resource of information about yourself and other members, plus news and official ECREA documents.
2. Journal discounts. A number of academic journals in the field of communication and media research offer a substantial discount on their regular subscription rate to ECREA individual members.
3. Book series. ECREA publishes books in the field of communication and media research in collaboration with Intellect Press. Research done by ECREA members is prioritized in the books of this series.
4. Reduced conference fees. ECREA members can benefit from reduced conference fees at the European Communication Conference and at the conferences of a number of associated organisations.
