ECREA, IAMCR and ICA conduct academic journals survey ECREA, IAMCR and ICA are conducting an international online survey among their respective members on the topic of academic journals. The survey is organised by a joint working group on "Quality in Communication Research" and the first results were presented during the ICA conference in Chicago on 24 May 2009. The survey period is extended until 31 July 2009. |

 ECREA, IAMCR and ICA logos The online questionnaire is available in 7 languages: French, English, German, Portoguese, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. Over 6000 members of all three associations have received an e-mail inviting them to complete the survey using an individualised, yet anonymised link. The study will feed a broader reflection process about the notion and the assessment of "quality" in communication research. The research is conducted with the support of the Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (INIST) and the Institute for Communication Science of the French government-funded research body, the CNRS. The survey will be closed on 31 July 2009.
