ECREA is pleased to inform that 813 proposals have been accepted to the 17 ECREA thematic sections through the conference website. The proposals included more than 1000 individual papers, almost 40 panel proposals and more than 20 posters. The almost 1200 proposals were reviewed by the thematic sections, and in the meantime, the authors have
been informed about the acceptance of their papers. Soon the preliminary programme will be available.

There are now 158 sections panels, 10 workshops, 3 plenary sessions and 20 business meetings scheduled to take place at the event.

The registration via the conference website is now open. Early Bird registration with reduced fees until July 31.

Panel 18: Additional workshops on infrastructures of European communication research and education

In addition to the panels organised by the 17 sections there will be a series of workshops, which provide opportunities for discussions on specific aspects of the European scientific community, its collaboration across Europe, and its infrastructures. Thus, we try to take the opportunity of many ECREA members being at one place to have a dense discussion on the core issues of ECREA’s work. Most of the proposed workshops correspond to specific ob-jectives and tasks of ECREA.

The preliminary list of workshops includes the following topics:
- Networking European communication associations
- Scholarly journals for European communication research
- Transnational Bachelor and Master Programmes in communications in Europe
- Strategies for Young Researchers in Europe
- The situation of women in European communication research
- Communication Research in Central and Eastern Europe
- Data and archive infrastructures for European communication research
- Quality in Communication Research
- Mapping European Communication Research
